Instrument databases for Mozart 14
Mozart's instrument data base can be used with instrument names in any language. The names are used for constructing stave labels (if you wish) and providing a default text instruction when a player changes instrument.
After discussion on the Mozart chat group, we now think it more appropriate to replace the name "G Banjo" by "5 String Banjo" in the list of instruments. This version of the instrument data base (in the different languages) for Mozart 14 does this.
Language | Data file |
Czech | instrument.cz.txt |
French | instrument.fr.txt |
Dutch | instrument.nl.txt |
English (UK) | instrument.uk.txt |
English (US) | instrument.us.txt |
German | instrument.de.txt |
Italian | instrument.it.txt |
Spanish | instrument.es.txt |
Welsh | instrument.cy.txt |
To install the files: just
download them (eg right click on each link and "save target as"), and
replace the existing instrument.??.txt files in the data folder within your MOZART 14
program folder (typically
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozart14\Data
or equivalent).
Mozart 14 will find them there. The only difference to the way Mozart works is that you will see "5 string banjo" in place of "G banjo" where instruments are listed. (In particular it makes no difference to the ability to read old Mozart files.)
