When Steve Martin submitted "Happy Birthday Mozart"
and I opened it to find "Happy Birthday" in the 
style of Wofgang Amadeus Mozart, it brightened my
day so much that...

...I had to get in on the act and I contributed
"Happy Birthday Scott" and (as a pre-emptive strike
also "Happy Birthday John").

Steve liked the ragtime theme and produced "Birthday
Syncopation" to celebrate his wife's birthday as well
as "Happy Birthday Claude".

Then in an exciting new development of this theme, 
Gary Jon Cooper has contributed the dramatic "Happy
Birthday Sergei"

It is now too late for talented friends of MOZART
to just 'let it be', as is shown clearly by Jeroen
Neve's mellow "Happy Birthday Mother Mary" (which
takes its name from a lyric rather than a composer,
presumably as we already have "Happy Birthday John").

All of which has prompted Bill Smith to send in a 
piece he wrote 10 years ago under the tile of "Hammy
Birthday" - shades of "Happy Birthday George Fredric"?

Any more birthdays, anyone?
