The NorMusic Jazz Font for MOZART is a third party music symbols font which can be used with MOZART - from version MOZART 2005 (8.1)  - to produce written music in a style similar to that of many jazz charts.

This font is by Nor Eddine Bahha, jazz pianist, composer, copyist, researcher and teacher at the Karawen Music School in Morocco.  He is also co-author of  "Jazzology : The Encyclopedia of Jazz Theory for All Musicians" ISBN: 0634086782) published by Hal Leonard.

The font is available from NorMusic  priced €35.22 and includes two accompanying "jazz text" fonts to help transform the overall appearance of the music and titles.

The example below is a typical Alto Sax part from a jazz chart, shown first in the NorMusic Jazz font and then below in the Mozart Classic font as supplied with MOZART.

The music is printed here with the NorMusic Jazz font and the text is shown with the accompanying NorText font.   The font shows the music in a style which is nowadays seen in many published jazz charts.

Using the font is simplicity itself.  If it is installed, MOZART's music font selector will automatically show it in a drop down list, and all you have to do is select it:

For comparison, the music is printed here with the Mozart Classic font as supplied with MOZART and the titles are drawn with the font "Bravo".
