Score templates

Mozart 5 and onwards include quite a number of score templates. But of course there are so many different groups one can write for, that they can't all be included. Here we shall make available more templates which may be useful.
Right click on the icons and choose "Save Target As..." to download the templates.

Templates for Mozart 6 and later

template

BigBand18.mzt created by Dave Webber.  This is a Mozart 6 score template for an 18 piece big band: 4 trumpets, 5 trombones, 2 alto saxes, 2 tenors, a baritone, guitar, piano, bass, and drums.  I meant to put one like this on the CD but overlooked it.  This should rectify the situation.

template

SATB and Piano.mzt created by Peter Thurley.  This is a Mozart 6 score template for four voices - soprano, contralto, tenor and bass, accompanied by a piano.  Peter noted that the templates he needed were not supplied with Mozart, and so he created them himself and kindly sent them in so that other Mozart users could benefit from them.

template

OrganSolo.mzt created by Peter Thurley.  This is a Mozart 6 score template on three staves for an organ solo.

template

Hymn.mzt created by Peter Thurley.  This is a Mozart 6 score template with a treble and a bass stave each with two voices and spaced with two verse lines between.

percussion-map

bigband.mzp created by Denis Mitchell.  This is a Mozart 6 percussion map defining which instrument in a drum kit is notated on which line of the stave.  (Copy it to your Mozart templates directory to make it available for use.)

To use a score template

  • Download the template file.
  • Copy it to your Mozart templates directory.
  • When you use File/New in Mozart the template will then automatically appear as one of the available options in the drop-down list of score templates.
